So the Gordy Family decided to have a night out and see a new movie. We got to the theatre and quickly found out that we ALL like to sit on the aisle...I believe I was the only one who sacrificed and sat in one seat...unbelievable :D
Funny movie-good popcorn and we only took up 5 rows to watch it!

Do you KARE
One of the things I enjoy-for whatever reason-is watching the 10 p.m. news...crazy right? I really have found myself appreciating KARE 11 for the team they have put together-mornings-afternoon-evening...they are all great and the weekend team is as strong as the main anchor team. I've learned something from watching them.
1-BE YOURSELF Life is not an act, it shouldn't be anyway...we should live this life authentically...who you see is who you get...
2-LAUGH show joy...we who were lost and now have been found have the greatest JOY ever...how can we not live this out loud and tell others of our Savior
3-BE A PLAYER team player that is :D How boring to live this life alone or think we are the only ones to "do" what needs to be done...lonely and not fulfilling if you ask me...let's join together to do great things
4-WRAP IT UP lol...say what you need to say and then let it be heard and processed...okay, this one I'm still a little slower to implement (hee hee)

Big World
I am sometimes in awe some what I get to do for a living-I have such a passion for music and God is so creative as He give each of us our gift. Today we had the privilege to hear from Church Planters from Sweden. 4 Brilliant musicians shared not only their talents but more importantly their hearts and their Pastor spoke the Words of life.
It was a great Sunday to be reminded of how BIG our God is and that He is orchestrating His people to proclaim His life saving Good News-we cannot be silent. So lets join in and make a JOYFUL NOISE and be engaged in what God is doing all over His creation!

Ever So Slowly
Things I'm learning:
Leaders Follow
To First Seek
Not to Blink
To Let "it" Go
Fixing my Eyes
Hiding the Word
Walk with the Wise
Run as to Win
Live out Loud
Be Still
Be in the Now
Cast my Cares
Love Deeply
Not to let the Sun Go Down
When all else fades only Jesus Remains

Triangles and Other Things~
Today I had the privilege of going to Orchestra Hall with my 6th grade daughter we went to hear a concert based on "sleigh bell" masterpieces. In the adventure of our day I learned a few things along the way.
1) Girls who are 10, 11 and 12 years old DO NOT need makeup on their beautiful faces, some of the lovely girls I saw at school looked WAY too old beyond their years~Maybe we could encourage our daughters to see the BEAUTY that God has created and hold off on the "paint" til waaaay later in life :D
2) Triangles MAKE the orchestra come alive! I'm not joking...I played percussion for 12 years and sometimes we would fight over who got to play the triangle because that puppy rings over EVERYTHING and you feel like you are being called home for rest, comfort and food...or something like that!
3) As I watched the Conductor I could not help but think of God~I watched people with such a passion for their particular instrument, playing it with love and care and zest-but the Conductor saw the big picture and had a passion for all of the instruments blended together...he saw the big picture of what the piece was supposed to sound like-bringing the music to LIFE...How like our CREATOR to orchestrate HIS creation-blending every person and their unique gift mix for HIS GLORY without a doubt the most BEAUTIFUL MASTERPIECE of all.
Random thoughts I know...but that's how I'm rolling tonight :o)
